The QR code is the door between the physical stay and your digital guidebook. Its placement matters more than its design.

Where to put the poster

  • At eye level, next to the entrance door or on the fridge — the two places every guest looks at.
  • A second copy near the coffee machine or the TV, for the rest of the stay.
  • Never behind a door, inside a drawer, or in a dark corridor.

What to write around it

One short sentence is enough: "Scan for Wi-Fi, check-in and local tips". Add the Wi-Fi network and password directly on the poster so a guest with a flat battery is never stuck.

Test it like a guest

Print the poster, scan it with your own phone in the actual room lighting, and check that the page loads in under two seconds on mobile data.
